We finally finished our basement just in time for Christmas. We hired someone to do the drywall, mudding and texturing. We painted. Ty did most the messy work with the paint gun but there was plenty of paint rolling for me to do as well. Ty and I also finished the hearth for the gas fireplace. It turned out great if I do say so myself. Then the same awesome person who did the texturing/mudding came back in and did the trim and doors for us. Ty and I caulked everything, got the hardware on and installed some last minute bathroom stuff. Carpet was installed early December and our couch came the next day. Perfect timing! The kids really had fun helping us unpackage the couch sections. Lily even made herself her future wedding dress, or so she says.
