We took Lily to her 9 month well check today (and to get her 6 month shots... we were a little behind because of sickness, but finally all caught up!). She is healthy and growing perfectly! The doctor was surprised at how close she is to walking already. He didn't seemed concerned about it, but she's already losing weight from being so mobile which doesn't usually happen till about a year. He just told us to make sure she has more FAT in her diet! That's right... you read correctly ... the doctor doesn't think my chubby baby is fat enough! LOL! He even suggested in a month or two to start putting BUTTER in her oatmeal just for the extra fat! He wants us to slowly introduce eggs, cheese, and meat and then make it her main source of food rather than baby food because the baby food has very little fat in it to help her gain weight to keep up with her mobility. He also did an iron test today which came back very low. He said he thinks the anemia is just because she's breastfeeding and nothing serious. She will be taking an iron supplement until she's old enough to get it from other foods.
Here are her stats and a few cute pics of my gorgeous 9 month old:
Weight: 18 lbs 8 oz 35%
Height: 27 inches 30%
Head: 41.6 com 5%
Crystal and Lily rocking on the rocking horse!
