SANTA AND HIS REINDEER
Crystal came home with a flyer saying that Santa was going to be behind Edwards Theater with his reindeer Wednesday night. I thought the kids would love it, so we decided to go check it out. We got there an hour before it ended, and I couldn't believe the LINE! Ty, who wasn't thrilled about it anyway, tried talking the girls into an ice cream cone instead, but they wouldn't have it. They wanted to see Santa and his reindeer (one of those moments where I wish I hadn't of told them where we were going ahead of time. lol). I wasn't really prepared for a line like this. I thought it would be a ten minute wait tops, so Crystal was the only one properly dressed for an hour long wait outside. December in Idaho Falls is usually in the teens if not colder, but we've had a major heat wave this month so at least it was in the 40s. Poor Jays hands were still pretty cold by the time we were done. While we waited in line people were bringing by free hot chocolate. The girls LOVE hot chocolate so it helped pass the time a little (Lily of course ended up wearing a lot of it). We saw the reindeer and Santa! When we left the line was still a good 30-45 minutes long, and it was 15 minutes passed the time they were going to end. The girls still said it was worth the wait in line, but I think Daddy would beg to differ. lol.
Grumpy Grinch
This kid was whiney and crying, but he'd stop to smile for the camera. It was hilarious!
The girls made a new friend. They were trying to see passed the people in line to see Santa. They were thrilled to see that Santa had brought Elves as well!
Crystal once again froze up when it was time to sit on Santa's lap, so she doesn't look happy. I promise she enjoyed it. Its just her shyness getting the better of her.
Jay was pretty interested in Santa. But he was also cold and wanted down to play with the trees. It didn't help that it was a bit past bedtime by the time we got to Santa's lap. haha.
Lily thinks Santa is great and wonderful. She made sure to remind him what she wants for Christmas as we were leaving.
We finally got our lights up early this week!
I finally finished my Grinch blocks. I did the letters last year, but I just barely finished the block for the quote underneath. Now to finish this year's project. lol.
I wrapped all the presents and put them under the tree the other day. Jay has left them alone so far thank goodness. This is the first year that the girls have really been curious about what's under the tree. I told them they could explore the presents as long as they didn't open any, and only when Jay is down for a nap. He would just rip them all open if we brought them to his attention. lol. Its been fun watching them look through the presents. They pulled them all out and explored each one telling me what they thought could be in them. It made me smile. :)
RANDOM PICTURE OF THE WEEK
Lily was taking a good portion of her dolls for a walk in her stroller.
