SCHOOL PICS
Well the kids had picture day on St. Patrick's Day this year. I don't usually buy the school pics, so I gave them the choice of dressing up for pictures or wearing green (they didn't have any nice green clothes). They chose green. And they would have still turned out perfect, but both of them have a dab of paint right in the middle of their green reunion shirts. Haha. The dab showed up nice and bright but from the shoulders up they don't look too bad!
There is a new group on Facebook encouraging people to paint rocks and hide them around town. And then go hunting for other rocks to keep or rehide! I had planned to paint some rocks and go rock hunting ourselves, but I hadn't gotten around to it. Last week we were at a park for Crystal's soccer practice, and Jay came back with this rock! He's in love with it! We will need to paint rocks and hide them soon!
EASTER WEEKEND
We ran into the Easter Bunny while looking for Easter clothes earlier in the week! The kids were THRILLED! Friday afternoon we decorated our boiled eggs. Ty and I didn't think the dye would work well on brown eggs so we just used sharpies to color and decorate them. The eggs are gone and none of us died so I guess it was okay. haha. (PS. As it turns out, dye works just fine on brown eggs... next year. haha)
Friday night the kids put their eggs in their baskets and put their baskets out for the Easter bunny! He hid their eggs AND their baskets! Jay's was under the preschool room table, Crystal's was in a closet, and they finally found Lily's in the basement! Haha. The girls got math Wrap-Ups and baskets for their bikes and Jay got a bubble gun and a nerf football. And they all got a bunch of candy! Later we went to Grandma and Grandpa Cook's house where the kids rode their bikes for a while! They loved the freedom they had to ride around in the street! Haha. We had an Easter Egg Hunt (tons of eggs for 9 kids) and a BBQ! We also roasted marshmallows! It was so much fun! Jay discovered the water pump and tried pumping water out of it. He climbed up the pump and out on the lever but it still wouldn't budge. haha. Daddy had to help him!
When we got to my parent's house, we discovered Papa had just finished putting together the new toy for their backyard! A ride-on princess carriage! The kids spent all weekend playing with it until the battery died! Haha.
