FIRST DAY AT THE NEW SCHOOL

So Ty was out of town for the first week of school and we were still living with my parents so school in Rigby was a bit of a commute. I had also unexpectedly found myself working full time a few days before. With all that on top of some other stressors, this was an extremely stressful week for me. The good news is they all ended up making it to school on time. Even if I dropped Crystal off at the wrong school (K-2 goes to one school and 3-5 goes to another school across the street), and didn't realize it till I had parked and was just about to walk into the other school with Lily! Haha. We jumped back in the car and drove back across the street, but Crystal was no where to be found. I sent Lily in the right direction to get to class (apparently she had to ask for help finding it but still got there ok), and I started crying while attempting to explain to the secretary what happened. I then drove back across the street and cried to that secretary who went looking for Crystal when her teacher wouldn't answer the intercom. She was fine. She had walked across the street and found her teacher outside on bus duty. The secretary found her outside with her class. All was well.... still a huge parent fail on the first day at a new school! Gah!
After school they had to come with me to work for a while, where they gladly went and played in the pile of sand/dirt they have in the yard where I work. This stuff is like chalk. It stuck to them and made a huge mess. My car will probably never be the same again. Haha.
