Lily turned 8 years old! She is still my little Punky Brewster and I love her for it! She has her own style and is comfortable with it. She can be so sweet and is always the first to compliment strangers on even the littlest of things. She LOVES make up. She puts on her play makeup to go to school if I don't catch her first. I'm going to be in trouble in a couple of years. She's going to be putting on makeup in the bathroom at school so I don't know about it! Haha.
We were supposed to close on our house on her birthday this year so we didn't plan a birthday party until the next week which really just means she got to celebrate for a week. Haha. She wanted to get her ears pierced for her birthday, so after work we met Dad at a tattoo parlor to get them pierced. It was a bit of an uncomfortable environment but the guy was super friendly and she felt at ease with him. He took his time and even measured to make sure the piercings were exactly the same in each ear. Lily didn't even flinch when he pierced them. It seemed less traumatic than Claire's and his instructions were literally the opposite of what Claire's instructions are. Haha. After that, we met Grandma and Grandpa Cook at PPC for birthday dinner!
A week later we took her and a couple of her friends to see a movie she'd been begging to see 6 months before it came out "The House With A Clock on It's Wall." It had a couple of scary parts but the kids all loved it!
I can't believe this little girl is 8!!! Time is going too fast!
