SPRING BREAK

The week after Lily's surgery was spring break! Ty decided he'd better set up their Christmas present Saturday so they'd be able to use it over the break. Despite my objections, Lily was out and jumping as soon as it was up and ready to go. Only 4 days out of surgery!!! I'm so glad she bounced back so quickly. She was mostly back to herself by Wednesday and ready to go back to school after spring break! 
Saturday we also made a stop at Cal Ranch. We were looking at different breeds. They had these beautiful Sapphire Gem chicks and Ty almost had me convinced, but I did a lot of research the first time we bought chicks and I knew the Rhode Island Red did the best in cold climates. We looked up the Sapphire Gem and it specifically states that they do better in warmer climates. So we bought 2 RIRs and I broke down and got 1 Sapphire Gem. She is beautiful but I sure hope she survives our winters! We are hoping the RIRs sit next to her and keep her warm in the coop!!! haha! 

Jay's birthday was the Saturday after Spring Break so we decided to give him is birthday present a week early. A new bike!!! We wanted him to be able to use it during the break since his old bike had gotten ran over a few weeks before. Hopefully he takes better care of this one! 

We also had some visitor's this week! Ty's cousin from Arizona came up with her three kids! We had lots of fun playing while they were here!!! We always miss them so much when they leave! It's never long enough!!!
