4TH OF JULY
With everything cancelled because of Covid we hooked the trailer up and headed to Joe's Valley for Independence day. The pictures loaded exactly backwards in this section and I don't want to fix it, so there may be moments that feel like looking at events in Rewind. Haha. The kids had a lot of fun with cousins and it was good to see Grandpa Sitterud (even though we had to keep our distance from him). We went fishing and went on razor rides. We had brought our kayaks so we put them out on the reservoir a few times. We all had a good time except maybe Roscoe. He goes out because he can't stand the thought of not being with us, but he thinks we are all crazy for wanting to be in or on top of the water. Haha. Grandma brought 4th of July decor for the kids to decorate their bikes and we had our own parade! Led by Grandma and Papa Gordon in their decked out razor!
KIDS
Love these kids! Also I thought the cows were hilarious in the background of the pictures at Grandma Cook's house. Haha. All three cows just stood there and watched the kids play!
PRIEST LAKE
Just a week or two after Joe's Valley, we headed north to Priest Lake to spend the week with Ty's side of the family. Todd and Brooke and Ryan were able to come as well! It was so fun to all be together! We had so much fun hiking, exploring and playing in the lake and on the beach. Lily made friends with cousin Lia and they spent most of their time together including nights! Haha. Crystal and Kyle enjoyed digging tunnels on the beach. Jay and Donavon spent a lot of time playing together all week. I don't have any pictures because we were on the water but Ty finally was able to accomplish something he's wanted to do since he was little. We kayaked to a narrow section of the lake and we swam the short distance from the shore to the island. Now he can say he swam to the island in the middle of the lake. Haha. It was actually a lot farther than it looked when we started on our kayak, and it was breezy so the water was quite choppy. It was hard, and Jay regretted coming with us, but we did it! We would come back to civilization to find masks mandates in town and many stores refusing entry if people didn't comply. People are forgetting how to be kind to each other. People that believe in masks yell at people that don't and vice versa. The world has gone crazy.
