FIRE!
We opened our office door to find smoke billowing out of the storage unit next door to us. Their build backs right up against our parking area. My coworker called the police and we moved any vehicles out of the way just in case it got worse. My brother ran around the storage unit with a fire extinguisher, but the person at the unit that was on fire had closed the doors in an attempt to kill the fire. It didn't work and my brother didn't dare open the doors back up, so they had to wait for the fire department. Good thing we are very close to a fire station. They got there pretty fast. What had happened was someone was working on their truck inside one of the units and the truck engine just burst into flames. It was crazy but no one was hurt thank goodness. It smelled pretty bad though in the office after that so Jaime and I left work a little early to work from home.
SPRING SOCCERBrrrr! Look though! We found a good use for masks!!! I shake my head a little before every game when we are taping Crystal's ankles. I worry all this soccer isn't good for her body! The tape seems to help though. It seems to give her ankles more stability and she isn't sore afterwards. Her aunt and uncle in Arizona got her an awesome birthday present and now she has a bag that fits all her soccer stuff!
Grandma made her an awesome cake this year. I just didn't have time this year, so I of course turned to the person who taught me everything I know about cake decorating and she didn't disappoint!!! She always goes the extra mile! We celebrated with cake the day after her birthday on Sunday. Crystal was so funny this year. After seeing Bennett's 1st birthday smash cake, she kept telling me she wanted her own smash cake. So of course Grandma made sure she had her own cake. Haha!
Crystal wanted to go golfing for her birthday so on Saturday on her actual birthday, we went to fat cats and golfed, ate pizza and played in the arcades. I of course didn't take any pictures of the arcade. Crystal had a soccer game in the afternoon and then we went to Olive Garden with Grandma and Grandpa Cook and Gigi and Papa Joel. Again for some reason, no pictures. Oops. Grandma and Grandpa got her a hair straightener she was wanting. Then we ended the night with just the family at Orange Leaf! Even though the game didn't go as she had hoped, she still had a pretty good day!
COUSIN BENNETT'S 1ST BIRTHDAY
We had a little get together for Bennett's 1st birthday! Funny thing happened though. We ALL bought her different variations of basically the same toy! Haha. It was seriously so funny. Of all the toys out there for a little one year old girl, we all picked the same thing!
GRANDMA GORDON TURNS 60...I mean 29!
I made these Memory Frames for my mom for her birthday. My SIL made something like it for Ty's parents' for Christmas, and I thought it was an awesome idea! The background is made up of pictures from the memories mentioned.
RANDOM PICTURESThis is crazy and they are in masks, but they are at least headed back to real live school!!!! No more online for us (well for a month or so until they decided to have online Fridays... but I can handle one day a week. Haha). Also the pictures are backwards again. The classroom pictures were from the night before at back to school night! The kids are all excited to go back to school again! Jay is nervous about Spanish immersion since he was put in right before Covid so he's a little more behind than the others. I know he'll do great though! I think they all look like punks or bank robbers, but I guess that's the look these days! Haha.
