SUMMER GARDEN
Our garden this year had a bit of a rough start. I started most of it inside, but it turns out we are cheap and don't run the furnace enough so it was too cold in the house for anything to grow (really we just like it cold at night so we wear extra layers rather than turning the heat up in the evening. Otherwise we die of heat all night. And we are cheap, but not too cheap to run the AC all summer long. Haha). Anyway, I ended up a couple weeks behind, but once we figured out the issue everything came up really well. It was slow going once we got things in the garden. Half my tomato plants were just too small still and a lot of them died. I had over 20 plants though so plenty survived! Problem is all the tomatoes are still green!!! We've been lucky since it's almost October as I type this and we haven't had a freeze yet. The big tomatoes just started ripening the past few days, so they may ripen up in time after all. We ended up with a good amount of corn and peas and carrots. Our green pepper and jalapeno plants produced a ton of peppers. I got 1 tiny little cantaloupe but someone or something picked it off the plant and it disappeared before I could eat it. Sad I know. I got 3 watermelons and they were delicious!!! And I have 2 honeydew melons that we haven't tried yet. I was able to pickle about 6 quarts of cucumbers, have a few mini pumpkins, one big white pumpkin and one green pumpkin that we aren't sure about. I also got some crookneck squash and plenty of zucchini. My acorn squash didn't come up but I did get about 3 spaghetti squash. I planted green, yellow, and purple beans. Funny enough the green bean plants didn't grow. The yellow and purple beans did great though and we loved them. I'll be planting more of those next year! I also only got 1 strawberry from the 1 strawberry plant that survived this summer. Haha. In the end it did pretty well but I feel like after the trial and error of this year that next year will be better!

BONNEVILLE COUNTY FAIR
My nieces both sewed things for the 4h style review at the county fair this year. Kensie made a beautiful pillow case, and Millie sewed that amazing skirt she's wearing with very little help from her mom. They both did amazing. I can't wait to see what they come up with next year!
Turns out the girls did have some things in the fair that we didn't know about. They even made it into the State Fair ... but we didn't know until it was all said and done. Haha. Oh well. Maybe next year. Jay had his jump rope binder/show/trail mix in the fair and it turned out he also had the pet toy he made in the fair too. We didn't figure that out until we accidentally found it at the State Fair. Haha. We are still figuring out all this 4h stuff.
One last hurrah before school starts! We drove to lagoon in the middle of the week so it wouldn't be as busy!!! We rode a bunch of rides in the morning before it started getting busy. Grandma and Grandpa Gordon met us there and we started back thru our favorite rides. Grandpa wasn't feeling good by ride 2 so we rode some more gentle rides. We should have gone back to the roller coasters for Grandma though because she was feeling fine! Haha. They ended up leaving before she had a chance to ride Colossus!
As we were pulling into Idaho Falls, the moon was HUGE and so red/orange! It was beautiful. Pictures of course don't do it justice but I still had to try. By the time we got home it wasn't as big or as orange but it was still a sight to see. We also came home to find that Max (my parents' dog) had rearranged the furniture a little while we were away. Roscoe's dog bowl had been moved from the far corner of the dining room to the other side of the table. Haha. He likes to paw at it to try to get food out of it and it slides across the floor.
GIRLS' NIGHT
The boys had Father/Son Campout at which Ty forgot to take any pictures, so they'll just have to remember those memories without help. Haha. But us girls had a fun girls' night at home. They had soccer practice so we couldn't do anything till after 8 pm. And they had to get up early to go to soccer practice so we didn't have time to go into Idaho Falls for dinner or anything. We just got snacks and picked up food to go, went home, and watched a movie while wearing face masks and eating snacks (not at the same time... we tried but it was too hard. haha). Saturday after practice we went out to lunch at Fuji's and did some mall shopping.
