HALLOWEEN

We went to our ward trunk or treat ... in the snow... it was cold! Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Gordon's house for dinner. Traditionally we go out for dinner but this year Grandma was still healing from surgery so we ate at their house. The kids went down the street at Grandma's to do some real trick or treating while we visited in the warm house. As we were pulling out of the driveway to head home, my phone dinged telling me someone was at our front door. I watched a teenage girl empty our candy bowl into her bucket. I guess if she really wanted all those dum dums she could have them. We had more candy than we knew what to do with (and I didn't put the best candy out on the doorstep anyway... lol).

LILY'S BIRTHDAY

Lily got to celebrate her birthday for 3 days!!! Her party was the day before her birthday. She said she wanted a unicorn birthday party so naturally we went to New Sweden Farms so we could ride a unicorn. We also had tons of fun with all the other activities there.

We went out to dinner and gave her presents from us on her actual birthday the next day. She wanted Pizza Pie Cafe... one of her favorite places! Then on Sunday we had a family get together for cake and ice cream. I think she had a fantastic weekend! She's getting so big! 9 years old!!!!

CRYSTAL'S LAST SOCCER GAME

Unlike the nice weather for Lily's soccer game that I mentioned above, Crystal's last game was VERY VERY COLD! Only 2 of the 5 fields didn't cancel their games and the other field only played for a few minutes before giving it up. Not this group. Haha. These girls played their hearts out... in the freezing air... and ground! Everytime a girl would fall we would all cringe at how cold it must be. Crystal wasn't having a hard time scoring goals though! They were still having fun. Regardless the ref finally called the game at half time... I've never heard a crowd cheer so loudly. Haha. Parents were clapping and cheering for the ref when he blew his whistle and called the game! BRRRRR!!!!

SCHOOL CARNIVAL

I took the kids to the school carnival earlier this month. They had fun dressing up and playing games. Lily had to be a 'soccer player' for the carnival because she had a game right afterwards. It was the only way she would have time for both! It worked out perfectly!
