HELLO 2015!
We went to my parent's house for New Year's Eve this year. The entire family was able to come! It was so nice to have everyone together, and the cousins LOVED playing together all night long! That's right. Even Jay made it until midnight this year! Haha! We had tons of fun playing games and eating good food!!!!
All of the cousins watching a movie in the kids room!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Jay was excited too!
Its after midnight and none of them are ready for bed!
A WEDDING
Ty's cousin was married January 3rd on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. We traveled down the night before and stayed the night in a hotel since the wedding was bright and early the next morning. We had a fun dinner with Grandma and Papa Cook at Apollo Burger and then went to hang out at the hotel. The plan was to play in the pool all night and then put the exhausted kids (from swimming) to bed. Well plans were shot when we were informed the pool was closed due to chemical imbalance. It was going to feel strange playing in the pool anyway since it was IN THE LOBBY. Yeah I thought it was strange. Lol. I told Ty they probably closed the pool when they saw us coming in with three kids. haha.
We still had a good time. We visited with Ty's parents for a bit. And around 630 a really good friend of mine from Tooele showed up at the door!!! We played cards while the kids watched movies and played games all evening! It was so nice to see her and her family again! It had been way too long! I was kicking myself at the end of the night for forgetting to take even just ONE picture!!!
The next morning we headed to the wedding! It was a beautiful wedding!!! I was extremely embarrassed because Jay was AWFUL and they had closed the doors so I couldn't get out without making more of a ruckus!!! At the beginning of the wedding he started singing "noooo, no, no, no, noooooo, no, no, nooooo." Ever so sweetly, but loud enough that everyone could hear him (the room was quite and not very big). Ty got him to stop, but about 20-30 minutes later, just as they started the vows, Jay got down on all fours and belted out, "Beep, Beep! Beep Beep!" I couldn't get him to stop! And I had NO WHERE TO GO! Covering his mouth just made him even louder! And he was of course the only child in the room acting out!!!! Lets just say I was relieved when it was over. Then I proceeded to apologize up and down to everyone. If I had thought he was going to be so difficult I would have waited outside during the ceremony!!!!!
Crystal and Lily were thrilled to be reunited with their cousin, Elliana! They lived near us in Utah for a while, and the girls LOVED spending time together! Now they live in Michigan! SO far away! Crystal is always telling me how much she misses her, so it was wonderful to see her light up when they were together again!
AEROSPACE MUSEUM
We ducked out of the reception just a few minutes early. Jay was becoming extremely difficult to handle. The girls were sad to leave Elli, but they were going to be in Idaho Falls all week so we promised them a playdate together. We changed into more comfortable clothes and hit the road.
On our many trips from Provo to Idaho Falls and back, we always pass the Aerospace Museum and Ty ALWAYS says, "We should leave early one day and stop there on our way home." But in the 5 years we lived there, we NEVER stopped. So on our way home from the wedding, we decided to finally make the stop.
Jay slept in Ty's arms through most of it, but he woke up on the way back to the front of the museum. It was perfect. He got to see everything and didn't have time to get antsy. Although I think Ty's arms would beg to differ. He was tired after holding him so long (Jay's a tank if you haven't noticed. haha). The museum was pretty interesting. I think everyone enjoyed it quite a bit. The girls got to color a bunch of cartoon airplanes (drawn after real planes in the museum). And I even learned a few things. Jay's reaction to the planes was priceless. But I couldn't catch it on camera. He just kept pointing, jabbering to us, and looking at them in awe.
RANDOM PICTURES OF THE WEEK
Ty has been polishing rocks with the kids the past month or so. It takes forever to polish rocks with a rock polisher. lol. They were finally finished this week! The kids were pretty excited! Jay kept trying to eat them. I think he thought it must be food for the girls to be so excited about it. lol.
This dog cracks me up. And yes he sleeps between us with his legs up in the air most nights. He's worse than the kids!
Aunt Maddie watches Jay a lot while I'm teaching preschool. One morning they insisted that they were too old for high chairs! lol!
Cousins having a tea party!
