It's been a pretty slow and painful month for us. A few weeks ago the kids and I were passing a nasty cold back and forth and around in circles. This week we all finally felt better!
I was busy doing some much needed deep cleaning in my kitchen this week, and the kids found a way to entertain themselves. Jay brought his maracas down from his room. Crystal was using her toy hair straightener as a Castanet type instrument, and Lily was using Roscoe's rawhide bone (don't worry it was unused) as a microphone and singing at the top of her lungs! It was quit a sight ... and sound! Lol.
LEO'S PLACE
We celebrated our good health by going on a lunch date with Aunt Maddie and the girls. Jay has a new obsession with trains. The second we walked through the door he saw the train moving back and forth on its track. He chased it back and forth over and over again. He also tried to climb up high enough to reach it but eventually realized that wasn't going to happen. Lol. It took a lot of convincing to get him to go play on the toys, so I wouldn't have to chase him anymore. Little Kensie is a few months younger than Jay and managed to find her way to the top of the playland toy. Haha. She was pushing her face against the net but when I went to take a picture she promptly moved. Oh well. She's still adorable.
FREDDY'S
We tried out a new restaurant this weekend. The food was good and the custard was better! Just ask Jay!
HAIRCUTS
Crystal wants nothing more than thick long hair. She always wants me to do things with it that's just not possible with her stringy thin hair. But a few weeks ago we saw a picture of her from last Spring after her first haircut and her hair looked so nice! So we decided it was time to cut it again... hoping that it grows more evenly and thicker. I didn't want to pay $20-$30 to get both girls' hair cut (Lily of course wanted hers done too). So I took a crack at it myself. It didn't turn out perfect. Lily's is probably the most uneven but only because she wouldn't hold her head straight or still long enough, and I finally gave up and told her I was done. Lol. All in all I think they turned out pretty good! (PS. I think it's interesting how Crystal's hair naturally curls under just a little and Lily's naturally curls out...).
RANDOM PICTURES OF THE PAST FEW WEEKS
Crystal put a 'crown' on the cat. haha.
(This was taken when I was sick and spending a lot of time in bed hence the VERY messy background... it's getting better I promise. haha)
Photo Bomb!
He's cute
This was from the first month of the school year. Crystal was the Kindergarten Student of the Month and her teacher gave her this note. I took a picture of it so I could have it for the scrapbook (aka this blog when I print it). Then I threw the precious note away. . . I threw a lot of stuff away this week. Early Spring Cleaning. It's felt pretty good!
Crystal made plywood at school during science. The dog tried choking on it a few times, so I took a picture of it and threw it away this week too. lol.
