LAST T-BALL GAME
The girls had their last game this week! They have really loved playing t-ball this year! When Lily found out it was our last game she threw herself on the bed and said, "But I'm going to miss Coach so much! Millie and I are both going to miss Coach so much! I don't want it to be the last game!" lol. I hadn't realized she and "Coach" were so tight. Haha! Daddy was able to come to their last game for a few minutes to see them play! They were so excited to see him and played hard for him!!!NEW TOY
The bouncy house came on sale at Sam's Club. Crystal has been BEGGING for one all summer and we decided it was safer and cheaper than a trampoline so we bought one. The kids are loving it! We took it to the Cook Fourth of July BBQ and then to my nephew's bday party the next day and its still standing so that's a plus! Lol.
LIBRARY TIME
The kids love our trips to the library. The girls love story time, and Jay LOVES the fish pond! The girls bought tiara's with their 'book bucks' from the summer reading program this week. They are loving the reading program this year!
THE ZOO
Daddy wanted to go to the zoo with us before we went camping on Friday! He never gets to come because the zoo closes so early and he has to work for a living! He took half the day off on Friday so we made a quick trip. We were only there for 45 minutes and still managed to get into a little trouble! Haha! Crystal left her laminated zoo map at the tiger enclosure on the ledge and when we went back it had fallen in with the tiger! Oops! We don't know if the wind blew it in or if someone pushed it in but Crystal was pretty sad it was gone. Don't worry we let someone know so the tiger wouldn't try eating it or something. ;-)
Oh and a monkey totally gave Jay a high five. I of course missed the picture! Gah! But I got one of the monkey looking at him. Haha.
We went camping at Ty's parents' property after the quick trip to the zoo! We had tons of fun with Grandma and Papa, Gigi and Papa Joel, and Uncle Ryan and Tim!!!! It was so nice to be able to spend time with Ty's brother who was in town for the holiday!
The girls found a huge frog near the lake! Ty tried catching it but it got away! We had fun visiting, playing cards, and having smores! ;-) Ty's family couldn't stay the night, but we decided to go for it! It was fun sitting by the fire after the sun had gone down and it had cooled off outside! Jay refused to go to sleep though. Haha. I was up with him until after midnight when he finally calmed down and fell asleep! Then he was up bright and early the next morning at 7 am!!!!
THE FROSTOP
We stopped for an early lunch at the Frostop in Ashton on our way home! The girls we fascinated with the statue animals all around outside! Haha! They also got to see horses pulling a wagon in the parade that was going on a block away... Ty's favorite way to watch a parade (aka not watching it at all. haha). Jay fell asleep on the way there so we let him sleep in the car (windows down) and we sat at a table right next to the car while we ate.
THE BBQ
Ty's parents had a fun BBQ with all the family that afternoon! We brought the bouncy house and it was a hit! The kids also love climbing Grandma's tree out back. Lily makes me nervous. She's fearless!!!
Funny side story: My sunglasses broke after we got home from camping. They just sort of fell apart out of the blue. Not sure what happened. Haha. Anyway I NEEDED sunglasses to survive the rest of the day. Haha! So we stopped at a KJ's on the way to the BBQ and as we were getting back in the car this lady starts running towards us waving her arms! I was so surprised! It was a friend who lived in the same apt complex as us when we lived in Provo! It was so fun to see her and her family again! I also got to meet their little newborn! He's so adorable! I'm just so glad my glasses broke, or we never would have seen them! Crazy right?!?!?! ;-)

THE FIREWORKS
We went to a new place for fireworks this year. It was farther away from the river and the wind was blowing toward the fireworks, so we actually couldn't HEAR them at all which was pretty disappointing. But we could see the lower ones better than other years when we were only a few blocks away so that was nice. We loved the 'midway finale' that we got since the show was 5 minutes delayed due to technical problems and then caught up to itself in 30 seconds. lol. The actual finale wasn't as impressive because they were all lower fireworks and harder to see. We had the same issue last year too, and we were only a block from the river. We might have to actually attempt a river spot next year if we want to see it... or more likely just concede to the fact that we won't see it anymore. lol.
Another nice thing about our spot was the large open drainage field. The kids ran up and down it for hours! Uncle Ryan gave them kites to play with, and they loved them! I was surprised how well the dollar store kites actually worked!!! They had tons of fun with glow sticks from Uncle Ryan as well! He also bought some fireworks to set off while we waited for the Melaleuca fireworks to start. The kids loved being spoiled by their uncle!!!! ;-) And they also loved that Uncle Ryan and Tim would play with them all night long! Haha!
My nephew was born on the Fourth of July 3 years ago! We celebrated with cake and ice cream on Sunday! He's going to think all these fireworks are just for him! Haha!
We bought a mini projector, and it came in the mail this weekend! We are pretty excited for outdoor movies this summer! But we couldn't wait so we tried it out in the bedroom tonight! It works pretty well! Excited to see how well it works outside!
RANDOM PICTURES
Jay has discovered the fun of playing dress up. He came down in this skirt twirling, dancing, and singing at the top of his lungs. The day before he had come down in a pirate princess costume. Haha. Love him!
Uncle Tyler was playing with the kids. Lily was bowing to him like he was king. Haha.
Playing in the pool with cousins!
(You know that moment when you realize the pool is murky cuz one of the babies pooped in it. Yep it happened ... ugh ... and Jay was drinking out of the cup in his hand. Glad they all survived. Haha!)
