ORANGEVILLE, UTAH
The kids and I went with my mom to visit my Grandpa Sitterud this week. It was a LONG drive both ways with 3 kids. I swear one of them had to pee every hour! GAH! lol. (Speaking of which Jay hasn't had an accident in 2 weeks and he's staying dry every nap and most nights too! I don't even worry about accidents while out anymore. Hip hip hooray!!!) But it was well worth the trip! My cousin, Jamie, played with my girls the entire time we were there! She was at Grandpa's bright and early every morning, and they played together until the sun went down every night! They even put on several shows for us! They had so much fun together!
Grandpa has the best dog ever. She did really well with the kids, but she also spent a lot of time in his lap trying to get a break from them... especially Jay. haha. She even has her own chair in the house. lol. Grandpa sits in his chair, and Daisy promptly hops on her chair across from him, puts her head on the arm rest, and stares at him. lol. She's pretty adorable!
Jay found someone who would give him all the Pepsi he wanted. lol. Grandpa was his best friend after that! Jay also found Grandpa's headlamp and tried using it to see his dinner better. lol. That kid cracks me up.
We had a lot of fun but it went by too fast. All too soon it was time to say goodbye! I'm glad Grandpa Sitterud let us stay with him this week even though we are pretty loud and rambunctious with 3 little ones running around. We all really enjoyed spending time with him! No worries we get to go see him again in a couple of weeks for the Sitterud Family Reunion! Yay! (Well yay for everything but the long drive part... so not looking forward to that again. HAHA)
"I need..." is his knew favorite sentence opener. lol
Saturday Morning Jay come's up to Ty:
Jay: Daddy I NEED to go play outside.
Daddy: What you should say is, "Daddy, may I go play outside?"
Jay: YES!!! (giving himself permission to do so. lol)
Sacrament Meeting:
Jay: making a lot of incoherent sounds
Mom: (whispering) sh. Jay you need to whisper quietly.
Jay: (very loudly) I'M TINGING!!!!!! (aka I'm singing)
Mom: (trying really hard not to laugh out loud) okay but you need to do it quietly ... like the way Mommy is talking.
Jay: (whispers) Okay. (then proceeds to sing in a whisper for 5 seconds when the opening song starts at which point he sings to his own tune while the rest of us try to sing over him.. oy! lol)
He also loves to shout "I need to go POTTY!" in the middle of sacrament meeting... or whenever else it suits him. lol.
