From Face Painting to Home Improvements

FACE PAINTING
Last week we went to Kid's Night at Smitty's Pancake House. The kids got their faces painted! Crystal asked for a star, Lily a butterfly, and Jay a spider! I've NEVER seen Jay sit this still before! I think he was more cooperative than the girls! lol! The lady did fantastic! The kids of course had to keep it on for a decent amount of time, which meant sleeping with it on their faces. Oh well, pillowcases wash right!??!

HALLOWEEN CANDY
Seriously. I don't think Santa will need to bring ANY sweets. Oy. We have a huge bowl of sweets from Halloween this year! (They pick 15 ish of their favorites out and the rest is pooled into one bowl for everyone to share. This way I don't have Halloween buckets full of candy lying around for the next 2 months.) The bad thing is that I eat as much as they do out of it! lol!

LILY AND JAY
These two have grown a lot closer the past few months. With Crystal gone to school, they've had more one on one bonding time. At story time last week Jay went to sit next to her on the rug and gave her the sweetest longest hug but as soon as I pulled my phone out he had moved away. I did still gat a snapshot of his arm around her though! They were also wrestling around and chasing each other one day this past week. Lily says, "Mom! Mom! Take a picture! Take a picture!" I look over and Jay has her pinned to the ground waiting for said picture to be taken. Lol. Not long after he had her pinned again and Lily insisted on another picture. Haha. I was just glad they were getting along. Jay is always pinning her to the ground and laying on her face. She doesn't usually enjoy it very much. Haha.

HOME IMPROVEMENTS
Now that its colder outside, we've been able to give more attention to the house than the yard! Ty finally put the track lighting in the kitchen that I've been wanting since we bought the house 8 years ago! (In his defense we didn't live in the house for 5 of those years. lol). I hated that where ever I worked in the kitchen the light was ALWAYS behind me and it just wasn't bright enough! This fixed all of that! I'm so excited about it! Yay!
I'm so thankful for a husband who's so handy and willing to try new things even when he's not so sure he knows what he's doing. lol! Now if only I could get him this excited about finishing the basement! ;-)

RANDOM PICTURES
First I need to add a kid funny that occurred the other day. Ty was helping Lily brush her teeth one night.
Lily: Daddy, your tummy is getting bigger. Like it's starting to stick out a little bit now. Do you know I don't use the word fat anymore?
LOL! It was so funny.
A while back we explained to her that calling people fat isn't a nice thing to say... so naturally she doesn't use that word anymore. Haha. Still needs a little work I guess.

The girls put a bow in his hair. This boy doesn't have a chance! Haha!

Waiting for tithing settlement. I know they don't look thrilled, but they have never sat so still for so long (like 10 whole minutes!) in the church before. lol. Wish they'd sit this quietly during sacrament meeting as well!

It was really quiet and I couldn't see the dog in any of his usual napping spots, so I was worried he was up to no good (he's a lot like a toddler... silence isn't always a good thing. lol). I found him sleeping halfway under the couch. haha. It looked pretty silly.
