Gingerbread House and Lights At Freeman Park

FIRST, THE PRESENTS
It's Sunday and Ty and I are in the kitchen making dinner. I look into the living room from the kitchen in time to see Lily walking to the hallway with a present from under the tree. I walked around to the living room to tell her not to remove the presents from under the tree to find only 2 presents left! I followed her to the preschool room to find this! All the presents stacked on top of each other... 'but mom I'm building a castle with them.' Haha. Oy!

MAN'S BEST FRIEND
I was really upset on night last week and these two mortal enemies laid together ... touching each other no less... so that they could both be close to and comfort me. I couldn't have asked for better company!

GINGERBREAD HOUSES
Gigi invited us to come over and make gingerbread houses with them for family night on Monday! It was the best gingerbread house building experience I've ever had! Seriously! She made the gingerbread and frosting herself and it held together SO much better than the kits we've used in the past! The kids put on as much candy as they could get to stick! Lol! And when we brought it home the next day, they did their best to eat it. Haha. Gigi's cement frosting slowed them down quite a bit!

LIGHTS AT FREEMAN PARK
Wednesday ($5/car day) we drove through Freeman Park's Light Display. It was pretty fascinating. Definitely had some kinks that could be smoothed out as far as lights go, but very enjoyable! The kids loved it as well! We also stopped for the wagon ride and to see Santa. We were first in line for the wagon ride so we jumped in and moved up by the driver, and he promptly invited the girls to ride up with him! They had such a good time! Ty jumped out and got a picture of the occasion! We also got lucky with the Santa line. The door was closed to his room and when I went to open it to peek in (checking the line to decide if it was worth it), it was locked. A lady passing by said, "He's not there. The door is locked." But I could hear kids on the other side of the door so I knocked. One of the little kids had locked the door. As soon as we opened it to get in line, 30 people lined up behind us! Apparently they all thought Santa was on a break! Haha!

PRESCHOOL
We had a Polar Express movie party for preschool on Thursday! They had hot chocolate and cookies, colored a Christmas coloring book, and watched the Polar Express! So much fun!

MORE SNOW
It snowed a lot this week! Crystal was excited to have fresh snow to eat ... not that she cares if the snow she eats is fresh or not... gross! Lily loved making snow angels, and Jay 'made a snowman' (and insisted on the pink monster hat btw). Lol. He stuck a stick and red lid into the snow and called it a snowman!

 RANDOM PICTURES OF THE WEEK

She calls herself "Super Santa" (Not Pictured: Super Dog)

Jay asking Yoda "Are you a Jedi?" Haha. He was adorable and thought Yoda was pretty cool!
