Zoo Field Trip
We had our field trip to the Zoo this week! It's always one of the kids favorite field trips! We had so much fun! Looking forward to a summer full of trips to the zoo!
Crystal has decided she LOVES being goalie... I don't know how I feel about this ... it stresses me out!!! Haha!
MOTHER'S DAY GIFT
We saw a swing set/playhouse on super sale at Sam's Club the week before Mother's Day. The kids were begging for it of course. I told Ty I'd love to get it for Mother's Day ... I mean think about it. Something to keep the kids out of my hair all summer long!!! So we made a deal with them. Half of it was my Mother's Day gift and the other half they would work off by doing EXTRA chores until it was paid off. It's actually been a month as I type this and they are still going strong with minimal complaints. They only get paid 50 cents a chore so I think I have a dishwasher and counter cleaner - 2 of the chores I hate to do most - for the next little while! So basically for Mother's Day they get to do my most hated chores, and I have a toy to entertain them all summer long. Not bad if I do say so myself. ;-)
It took Ty and I 10 hours to put it together. It actually wasn't too bad ... and went way more smoothly than if we had made something ourselves (which was our original plan for this summer). Although I'm pretty certain the kids were as entertained by the box as they will be by the actual toy! Haha! They made their own fort because we were taking too long with the toy. lol.
