Softball and More Summer Fun

SOFTBALL BEGINS
The girls had their first games the first week of summer break! They are LOVING Coach Pitch Softball! I'm so glad we found the perfect league for them to play in this year! They have 2 teenage coaches who are doing a fantastic job working with them! Crystal is especially getting into it this year. She loves to play pitcher - where all the action is - and her hitting is great too. She has hit the coach with a hard line drive twice now though. Youchy! Lily is learning the game quickly. This is only her second year playing since we were out of town all month last year so we missed tball. She actually throws pretty well and is finally not running from the ball when it comes near her. Haha.

JAY
Jay thinks if he is wearing my glasses he can magically read. Haha. He keeps putting them on and pretending to read receipts and other random papers he finds. Also just last Sunday in church he was too warm in his suit so he pulled his pants up as far as they'd go. He looked like he was in his underwear since you couldn't see his pants under his suit coat. Oy.  Everyone was giggling and I was trying to keep a straight face so that he wouldn't think it was funny and keep doing it. Haha. I wasn't doing a good job. I decided it could have been worse. He could have just decided to take his pants off completely instead... Haha.

COUSINS
One of Ty's cousins from Arizona that we don't see often came to visit for a few days this week! The kids loved playing with their 2nd cousin for a day!! From what I hear they had a great time together! She came to the first summer movie with us as well! They all had a good time! Sad they couldn't stay longer!

SOCCER
The last soccer game was this weekend! After the first quarter we were sure we were going to lose miserably. They scored 2 goals and Crystal was doing her best defending the goal! But our team really stepped up and played hard. I don't remember the end score exactly but we were up by 3 or 4 in the end! Wahoo! The coach gave out medals and told Crystal she must put a lot of power behind her kicks because it always made sound come out of her mouth. Lol. She always grunts when she goes to kick the ball hard. Haha.
