Randomness

These are just some random pictures I found. I may have even posted some of them already but they are cute so oh well. :D
Lily is smiling!
These are cell phone pics so they aren't the best quality,
but she's still pretty much adorable! hehe!

She kills me when she gives me her side smile!

We made Christmas sugar cookies!

Crystal loved pushing the cutters into the dough!

Crystal playing with her friend Jackson!

Where's Crystal?!?!

There she is!!!

Crystal LOVES her tutu!

Crystal also LOVES ice cream!
Especially when it comes from Papa's bowl!

Crystal is always walking around the house with my shoes on!

Crystal found her swimsuit in the laundry room the other day. She took her pants off and her diaper off and tried to put her swimsuit on! After I helped her get it on (there was no talking her out of it), she stood at the front door saying 'play water.' I had to convince her it was freezing outside and we couldn't play in the water. She ended up playing in the tub with her swimsuit on...lol
I looked up from whatever I was doing and she was sitting in her clothes hamper!

It was hilarious!

Lily's Blessing Day

Lily was blessed by Ty on Sunday, December 12, 2010. I'm so grateful to have a righteous husband who holds the priesthood. It is such a great blessing to have the power of the priesthood in our home and I can't imagine how our lives would be without it!

Grandma Gordon made her blessing dress! Isn't it adorable!?!?!

Ty almost got Lily's smile on camera!

Crystal is such a good big sister. She loves holding Lily and giving her hugs and kisses!

All five of my parents grandchildren!

I don't know why but I love this picture of the grandkids ...
Crystal and Brennin (in the middle) have the cutest look on their faces!
The whole Gordon family!
(I know I look way fat! Just ignore it... that's what I'm doing till after the holidays... lol... I like my holiday food too much! I'll start in January...hehe!)

Crystal and Lily

I don't have any new pictures on the computer yet, but I just thought I'd share a few updates about the girls really quick. Lily flickered her first smile last Wednesday (Dec. 1)! I remember from Crystal that its impossible to get those first smiles on camera so I haven't even attempted getting a picture of it yet, but soon I promise! :D She's still growing like crazy and has a very round chubby face with a double chin to go with it ... hehe. Everyone still says she's small, but to us she seems massive! She sleeps really well at night and will go about 8 hours without waking to be fed... which has been really nice so hopefully she keeps doing it. She's a very noisy sleeper unfortunately and is in the same room as us but we are kinda getting used to it. She may end up in the hallway for a month or so before we put her in a room with Crystal so we can all sleep...lol!

Crystal loves being a big sister and will be ecstatic when we finally let Lily sleep in the same room with her! She really wants Lily to get up and play with her, but seems to understand that she can't yet. Every once and a while she'll try to shove a toy in Lily's face ... lol ... but then gives up when she doesn't respond to it. Pretty soon here Lily will at least be able to grab at them and interact a bit more.
Crystal is talking more and more; sometimes its understandable ... sometimes its not, but either way she seems to know exactly what she's saying (she'll repeat the same gibberish over and over again till we at least pretend to know what it is!).
We've been toying with the whole potty training idea, but Crystal has been rather stubborn about it. We let her run around without a diaper on all day one day last week and she did make it to the potty chair once (it took serious bribing ... lol). The next day we tried in the morning but put a diaper on her after her bath. Shortly after, she started peeing and grabbed her diaper, looked at me and said "mommy I pee pee in the potty!" Most people probably don't see that as progress considering she wasn't peeing in the potty but in her diaper. I was just excited that she noticed she was peeing. Unfortunately now every time she pees she takes her diaper off (can't have a wet diaper now can we). Last night Ty went in to make sure she had blankets on before we went to bed and found her sleeping without a diaper on and everything in her bed was soaked (except her nightgown amazingly enough ... lol)! She apparently took her diaper off before she fell asleep! We know she doesn't take it off if she has pants on so we'll just have to keep her in pajama pants and hopefully it won't happen again!
We got Ice Age as a 2 dollar movie at Walmart on Black Friday and she thinks its the best movie ever. She got all excited when she saw the baby. She looked at me "mommy, mommy, mommy! BABY! BABY!" When the baby cries in the movie she starts fake crying "Baby! Baby!" then says "oh it's okay, it's okay" The funniest part is when they are sliding down the ice in the cave. She gets SO excited and yells "BABY SLIDE BABY SLIDE MOMMY BABY SLIDE!" She just thinks thats the greatest thing ever! Unfortunately its all she wants to watch now. I think I watched Ice Age 100 times last week (k maybe not really but close). She walks into the living room, sees the TV and says "WATCH BABY? WATCH BABY?" Thank goodness we have a portable dvd player so she can watch it alone or I think I'd go nuts!

1 month

That's right Lily is 1 month old! We had to take her into the doctor 2 days after she turned 1 month and she was 8 lbs 5 oz! She isn't a tiny baby anymore! She's developed nice plump chubby cheeks and a double chin to go along with it!!! I think she's about doubled in size already.

Autumn Leaves

Crystal kept running through the neighbors freshly raked leaves, so Ty raked some of the leaves in our yard for her to play in! She absolutely loved it!

Two Weeks Already?!?!?!

Its actually been three weeks but I never did post her two week stats. They grow up way too fast I can't believe she's three weeks today! And I think she's gained a pound since these stats were taken... lol ... her face is starting to fill out!

Lily Marie Cook, 2 weeks old
Weight: 6 pounds (up from 5 lbs 3 oz when we left the hospital)
Length: 19.5 inches
Head circumference and weight are in the 5th percentile.
Length is in the 25th percentile.

I just thought I'd add the 4 generation picture we took while we were in Idaho Falls!

Halloween!

We went to Idaho Falls for Halloween this year. My parents took Crystal home with them the weekend before when they came to see Lily, so we had to go get her (and I use every excuse possible to go to Idaho Falls and visit).

Here are some adorable pictures of my girls on Halloween!

Guess who's tail that is!!!

It's Lily in her much too large Tiger Costume!

All 5 of my parents grandchildren!
(Its the only picture I got without other peoples arms in it... lol)

Crystal was a butterfly!
She was supposed to be a panda but we realized that day that
the costume didn't fit so we had to exchange it
for something else (crystal wasn't very happy about it).

Ty had to hold her to get her to stop crying for the pictures, so we did the best we could of getting a picture of both of them together!

Trick or treating in style.
She didn't even have to get out
of the stroller thanks to the trunk or treat!

The suckers were her favorite!

Crystal and Lily after Trick or Treating. Lily's Halloween outfit was too big for her too... lol!
