HATS

My activity girls and I were making hats for Huntsman's Center. The hats never made it there because COVID hit and they cancelled my mom's in person appointment and she was going to take them. They weren't letting people thru any hospital doors unless they were dying.

Side story. During all of this my friend's husband thought he was having a heart attack while driving truck. He had one of their young sons with him and he stopped an an ER. They turned him away because they couldn't let his son inside with him and no one was there to watch him. He had to drive his rig to the next state over and turned out it was blood clots in his lungs. He could have died. He was dying and they wouldn't let him in. We are living in a crazy crazy world!

ANIMALS

Angel is sitting on Crystal's lap!!! It only took 11 years but the cat might actually be warming up to my first born child. Haha. The world really is going crazy. The pandemic is driving us to all do crazy things! Even the cat!

MY BIRTHDAY

Well guys, at this point my mom, who is severely immune compromised due to chemo, radiation, and surgery, was working from home. So my mom planned a special birthday lunch for me at her house with my brother Tyler. She ordered my favorite, Garcia's, and Tyler brought it to the house. She had the table all set up with birthday decor and everything. She always knows how to make my day perfect and special!
And then it happened. The governor held a press conference and officially shutdown the entire state. Only 5 people in Jefferson County had Covid and none of them had exposed anyone else. They were all people coming in from out of country (missionaries) and were immediately quarantined on arrival. Of all the days for it to happen though! Haha. Guess it'll be one to remember!

We had cake at my in-laws that evening and then they kept the kids overnight, so Ty and I had a quiet evening alone for my bday! Ty said he would do anything I wanted. Since there was no where open to go, we had to get creative. Shrimp and crab at home! And then I told him I wanted to put skirts on the chicks. ... I mean I saw it on Facebook okay! It looked fun. And guess what! It was fun! And look at how cute those chicks are in skirts!!! Adorable!

JAY'S PANDEMIC BIRTHDAY

Well places were shutting down left and right including the movie theater. Jay wanted to go see Sonic for his birthday. He had been talking about it for months. Then Ty came home and told me the theater in Rexburg was renting out entire theaters to families as long as they only had 10 people (Government was telling people to keep their groups to 10 or less).

The girls and I spent the day playing lego birthday games and making Jay's day as fantastic as we could without leaving the house. I think we had a good time! When Ty got home we had the kids get in the car for a 'surprise.' Jay knew the theater was closed so he didn't know where we were going. We didn't tell him until we were in front of the theater! It was so fun! He was so excited! And it made it all that much better when cousins were there to greet him!

OH and also, he was the last one to blow air onto the whole cake like that. Haha. As he was blowing out candles my mom and I looked at each other and we knew we were thinking the same thing. He just blew his germs all over the cake. Haha. Don't worry we all survived and no one got sick! Lol.

LILY WEDDING BOUQUET

We went to Ty's cousin's wedding reception and Lily caught the bouquet at the end of the night! She was pretty excited about it. I say she has a while yet before she gets to like boys. She disagrees. Haha

CHICKS

Well with this pandemic, Grandma and Grandpa Gordon thought they should invest in some emergency supplies. Haha. So they bought some chicks and we are going to keep them with our chickens. Funny thing is they aren't the only ones. Chicks are selling like crazy right now. Sad thing is most people aren't prepared for the work in taking care of chickens. It will lead to a lot of dead chicks and a lot of people trying to get rid of them when the newness wears off. Haha.

TY'S BIRTHDAY

Before the world turned upside down, Ty had a birthday! Things were getting louder about COVID at this point and there was a lot of talk about shutting things down. It was hitting New York pretty hard but hadn't touched our little town in Idaho.
So we had a few more weeks of semi normalcy left and Ty got to have a normal birthday where he blew on the cake and everything. HAHA. His parents and my parents went in on a smoker with me! He loves it! It was a great buy!
