Thanksgiving Point is having a Two Dollar Tuesdays Promotion during the entire month of August. Since it usually costs $10 per person to get into their attractions, we thought it was a good deal and decided to take advantage of the opportunity! There are a few different things we wanted to do, but we decided to start with the Dinosaur Museum. We thought Crystal would really enjoy the large animals and some of the hands on activities they have there. It opened at 10 and we arrived there around 11 to find a VERY VERY VERY LONG line of people waiting to get in! Apparently we weren't the only ones who noticed what a great deal it was ... lol! The line wrapped around to the back of the building! We almost decided to just leave, but decided we'd give the line a few minutes to see how fast it moved. Thankfully it was a very fast line and most of it was in the SHADE of the building! We only had to wait for about 20 minutes. Ty and I were pretty impressed with its size and exhibits, but it was SO CROWDED! There were people EVERYWHERE! It made it harder for Crystal to enjoy herself, but she had fun most of the time. She especially enjoyed the Erosion Room and the Dinosaur Dig even though both were packed full of kids and parents! The museum was so big that she was exhausted before we made it through most of it, so she isn't exactly smiling in most of the pictures!
Crystal and Daddy!
She liked sitting on his shoulders so
she could see some of the exhibits better!
She wanted to climb into the exhibits.
She didn't understand why she couldn't go play with the dinosaurs!
Look at the HUGE dinosaurs!
What a LONG neck!
Look at all those heads!
Crystal really enjoyed coloring the fossil stencil!
Standing UNDER a dinosaur!
She really wanted to climb up with the dinosaur!
This was one of her favorite parts:
Dressing like a dinosaur and playing with the toy dinosaurs!
I just had to document this moment!!!
The little girl was crying, so Crystal SHARED her dinosaur toy!
That doesn't happen very often ... lol. She is usually taking toys!!!
The Erosion Table!
Crystal loved playing in the sand and water!!
She was in the center of the river!
Ty and I didn't fit under it to get to her!
We weren't sure we were going to be able to get her to come out!
There were TONS of people there!
We were standing shoulder to shoulder with other people the entire time!
Crystal didn't mind so much!
She loves playing NEXT to other kids.
She just hasn't figured out how to play WITH them yet!
This was absolutely her FAVORITE exhibit... lol.
She cried a very sad cry when she had to get off to let other kids play on it!
She thought the massive turtle skeleton was pretty cool!
She wanted to pet it!
Playing in the sand at the dinosaur dig!
Just some random pictures before we left for the museum!
What a fun exhibit to go to! Looks like Crystal had a fun time...and it was such a good deal, I think I would take advantage of that too!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! We need to find something like that to do around here. :)
