Bear Lake

Ty's parents have a timeshare condo in Bear Lake. Their week this year landed in August! It's the perfect time of year to go to the lake! The weather was SUPER nice and we enjoyed spending time with most of the Cook side of the family!
We couldn't go on vacation without her precious boots. lol.

North Beach. Our first day in Bear Lake we spent on the beach! We were actually staying on the Utah side of the lake, but the Idaho side had a MUCH nicer sandy beach. It seemed pretty silly to drive so far and pay $5 parking for something we could get at the resort also, but the kids LOVED the nice sand!

This is how J likes to spend his swimsuit time ... dry and NOT in the water! lol!

Making new friends (who ended up being extremely rude to a point where we decided to go home, but for a while they were having fun).

Lily loves dirt!

When the other kids started being mean we made our own pool.

We made a river and everything!

Nice fine sand!

Panoramic view.

Running to kick the soccer ball.

KICK! (The first time she picked up the ball and the guy told her to kick it, so she threw it and kicked the air. It was hilarious! She figured it out eventually.)

We spent A LOT of the week at the pool!

Crystal loved jumping off the diving board.

Lily played in the hot tub and shallow end of the pool a lot. She WANTED to go off the board or slide, but would get up there and turn around.

Crystal going down the slide.

Lily playing with her cousin Nicole (well she's Ty's cousin, but just a few years older than Crystal so we just go with cousin. lol)

She swims pretty well! Okay with the vest... lol... otherwise she sinks like a rock.

He LOVES riding in the stroller (don't worry his stroller is green, grandma's stroller is pink. lol. He didn't really care what color it was; he likes it just the same)

Playing at the resort playground with her cousin Reese (okay its Ty's cousin's daughter ... but we just keep things simple and go with cousin)

Lily liked pushing J on the swing.

But she enjoyed swinging more!

The beach at the resort. Easier and faster to get to, but not nearly as nice (I was willing to deal with the rocks to save the drive and the money. lol)

The water was just in a bad spot. Nice sand in the water, and nice sand behind the rocks away from the shoreline. The lake just needed to be higher or lower and it would have been great. lol.

Bear Lake Pizza!

Playing with paper dolls in the condo during some down time!

Hiking to Bloomington Lake in her cool shades!

Thank goodness for Papa and Daddy who lugged J to and from the lake.

Cousins!

Super Grandma helping the girls on the trail! (I held Lily's hand on the way back and I don't know how she did it with 2 kids! lol! I was practically dragging her the whole way!)

Checking out the lake!

Ty's cousin Derek getting ready to rope jump into the lake!

There he goes! Brrr!

Watching people rope jump! I was glad it was cloudy and chilly so the girls didn't want to jump in.

They were all filthy by the time we got back to the truck!

One last time in the pool after check out.

J made it the entire week without having to get in the pool, but Grandma and Papa had left already so he HAD to get in. Poor boy.  He doesn't like the pool.

Hanging out in the hot tub (Yes lily is floating properly with her legs crossed. lol)

J actually enjoyed the hot tub (no worries it wasn't very hot)

Too cool for the pool! It wasn't long before he fell asleep, so he slept on a lawn chair while we had fun without him. lol.
