Pioneer Day was really just like any other day for us. Ty still had to work, so it didn't really feel like a holiday. But we did manage to have some fun! We got up bright and early and went Seven Peaks with some friends when they opened at 9:30. It was cloudy too, so it didn't get too crowded until later in the day. I managed to get a few pictures in the wave pool before getting in the water myself.
Crystal playing in the waves.
Jackson, Lily, and Ty are standing farther away, and Crystal is sitting in the water facing away from me.
Lily, Ty (who is blocking Jackson completely in this picture. lol) and Crystal
J was trying to reach his toys. It was too funny. He would stiffen up with a weird look on his face and his arms reached straight out in front of him. At first I thought he was having a seizure or something. lol. But then I realized he was just trying to reach the toys. lol. He wasn't even close, so I turned the tray a little to make them more accessible for him.
Lily is COVERED in chalk.
Crystal is not as bad, but she still has plenty of chalk on her too.
She and Lily have decided its fun to make 'chalk dust' with their chalk. They just rub the chalk back and forth on the concrete until the entire thing is nothing but powder. Its very messy (you should see what it does to my carpet when they come in and walk across it)!
Tummy Time! We are terrible at having tummy time. He doesn't usually like it and when he does its only for a few minutes. On this particular day he was actually lifting his head off the ground pretty well!
1 AM. This kid decided he wanted to get up and play with Daddy. (He usually sleeps really well, but his gums have been swollen so we think he is teething ... or at least trying too. At least he's happy and not screaming!)
Mommy and Baby Night! Daddy took the girls camping with him so we had a night to ourselves! (Too bad he was teething and not very happy the entire afternoon/evening.)
Lily loves camping ... especially the part involving the dirt!
Crystal and her new friend!
J has taken a sudden interest in the jumper. The first couple of times I put him in it he wasn't thrilled. He liked it ok, but only for a few minute and then he'd want out. A few days ago he started jumping and playing in it. It entertains him for about 20 minutes at a time! And for him that's a lot. lol.
When he got bored in the jumper, I pulled out his mat. He is getting pretty good at hitting the hanging toys! (I tried tummy time on the mat and it didn't go well AT ALL... he may never roll. Oh well.)
My rose bush my mom and dad got me for Mother's Day is thriving suddenly! There are only 4 flowers right now, but there are suddenly a TON of buds on it! Can't wait till they bloom!!!
