Cousins

It was wonderful having all the cousins together over Independence Day weekend. One thing I hate about not living closer is that the girls don't get to play with their cousins every day. They love spending time together! They had a blast playing in the pool/slide Grandma Gordon bought for her backyard! Crystal and Conner learned the hard way not to mess with Papa when it came to water! They sprayed him with these tiny water shooters and Papa SOAKED them with the hose. lol. They had unfortunately already changed out of their swimming suits, so they just had to play in the sun until they were dry again. My dad is notorious for his water fights. When I was young, my cousin would stay with us for the summer to work for my dad. The last Sunday before he'd leave, he and a neighbor friend would always pick a fight with my dad. It never ended well for them. lol. No matter where or how far away they would hide, my dad would find them with a hose or a 5 gallon bucket of water. lol. The young women at girls camp have tried to best him many times. But he always gets even. Occasionally the garden hose hasn't been enough and he's moved on to bigger and better things like tapping into the fire hydrant and getting them with a fire hose, or chasing them in a water truck. I tried to warn my young nephew that it wasn't a good idea, but he didn't listen, and Papa was sure to get even!
