Independence Day

The 4th of July was full of fun this year as always. We started out enjoying the Idaho Falls Parade, even though we were 'late' and by late I mean we were only half hour early, so it was hard finding a spot for all of us to sit. But everything worked out in the end, and the girls had fun.
We then went to my sister in law's parents' house for a bbq for my nephew's 1st birthday. Yes that's right. This time last year my sister in law was having her 2nd holiday baby! lol. She has a child with a Halloween birthday and another with an Independence Day birthday. We also had family pictures done while we were all together. The jury is still out as to whether we got any good ones or not. lol. I'll share them as soon as I have more time to edit them.
After the party we were off to get a spot for the fireworks. We parked found a place for our blankets and chairs and headed to the Chucker's game! Every year we go to the baseball game on the 4th. When I was young we would do it because after the game they'd let us sit in the field to watch the fireworks. People were inconsiderate and left too much of a mess, so they don't let us do it anymore, but we still enjoy watching the game every year. They lost 11 to 2. Yeah I know it was bad. They were doing really well till about the 5th or 6th inning. It was all downhill from there. Oh well it was still fun!
After the game we went back to our blankets and chairs and waited for the show to start. Ten came and went and no fireworks. I thought maybe i was mistaken and it was actually 10:30 that they started. But 10:30 came and went and we were all wondering what was going on. The radio announcer got on and said 3 teenagers had gone into the river and only 2 had come out. They had search and rescue looking for the 3rd. After another half hour or so, they suspended the search thinking it would be easier to do when everyone had gone home. The show was amazing as it always is. Both my girls loved it! Lily kept yelling "That's a big one!"

RANDOM PICTURES OF THE WEEK:
I'm not sure when these pictures were taken but they were too adorable not to add in.
