WEEK OF FIRSTS
1- Crystal lost her first tooth! On May 6th while coloring and painting for preschool Crystal's tooth finally fell out. The adult tooth had actually started coming in behind it already so we were hoping it would happen soon! That morning Crystal bit down on a soft baseball and she started freaking out. She said her tooth 'popped.' At lunch she bit down on a breadtwist and it happened again. Between the 2 she probably cried half the day. It was pretty scary for her. Then that evening when she wasn't even thinking about it, it just fell out! She said she felt something pointy in her mouth and pulled it out and it was her tooth! I'm glad she didn't swallow it! I forgot to get a picture of it, but the tooth fairy left her a whole dollar! Maybe its just inflation, but I'm pretty sure the tooth fairy didn't leave that much when I was a kid. Haha. And she has another loose tooth already! The tooth fairy's going to go broke!
2- Crystal had her very first Tball game this week! Ty took this picture the night before, but I was awful and didn't get any pictures of the game! Things were pretty chaotic since we hadn't had a practice and Provo Rec made a huge mistake on the schedule and instead of fixing it just told our coach he wasn't going to be able to coach. Two days before our first game one of the other parents volunteered, so there wasn't much time for organization! Haha! Anyway, in between the chaos, entertaining J, and trying to get Lily to understand why she couldn't play too, I didn't get any pictures of the game (Ty was trying to help the coach before and during the game)!
PS. Left-handed mitts are just as hard to come by now as they were when I was a kid. We had to pay $5 more for her glove than Lily's and they are the SAME glove, we just had to buy them in different places! And the cleats were on an extra super clearance sale plus 20% off at the register. We went to get Crystal church shoes and found the cleats also. Haha. (Please ignore the disgusting water stains on the couch...)
RANDOM PICTURES OF THE WEEK:
Growing like a plant to the music at Orem Library Time!
Making Rainbows!
And eating the leftovers!
J eating black beans and rice at Cafe Rio. He LOVED them but they made a HUGE mess. Haha!
Lily just chilling on the park grass with a friend.
Loving the swing!
Running around at the park!
JUMPEROO:
They have these out at the Provo Sam's Club and let the kids try them out. They LOVED it. I wish my dad had more time on his hands because I KNOW he could totally make one for us (not that we have a place for one anyway. haha)! So Grandmas and Grandpas if you think you need a fun toy for your backyard for when the grandkids come by, here's a great idea for one! ;-)
THE SANDBOX:
I mentioned in a previous post that the owner of the complex saw the holes the kids had dug in the dirt and instead of getting upset he got on his tracker and dug them a sandbox! The kids have been LOVING it! We spend HOURS in the sandbox every day. Though I find myself brushing sand off the couch a lot, I'm glad to have something in the complex to wear them out during the day! And the owner says he's installing a swing set next!!! The kids are extremely excited about that also! The first day playing in the sandbox, I helped the kids build a sandcastle. It even had a mote. The mote didn't help though. It's enemies got to it only seconds after the picture was taken (Crystal is holding one of them back just long enough to get a picture. Haha).
MOTHER'S DAY:
We had lunch with Ty's family on Mother's day this year. It was nice that they had it early because then Ty could come with us. Before we left I took these pics of the girls cuddling Ty. I thought it funny that he was lying around cuddling the kids and napping. Its mother's day! Shouldn't I be getting the attention and cuddles from the kids? Haha. I'm glad they love their Daddy so much! I had a wonderful day but the evening could have gone a lot better. J pooped 3 times after Ty left for work. Haha! And he cried most of the night... turns out he's getting a whole bunch of teeth at once and they are molars which tend to hurt worse coming in. I hope he gets back to himself soon. I want my HAPPY BABY back! :D
