The Fire Station, T-ball, Book Festival and so much more!

FIRE STATION
For our Friday Field Trip this week we went to the Fire Station! It was tons of fun! Crystal was a little upset because she didn't get a turn to sit in the fire truck. She's my sweet reserved child. She was politely waiting her turn but a lot of the kids that got in didn't get back out. Instead of crowding in or asking for a turn she waited. The officer finally asked the kids to get out and closed the truck up. She was pretty upset.

Honestly I think the same thing happened last time we went too. lol. But last time I asked him if he would let her sit in it for just a second. This time I wasn't feeling great and not paying attention. Ty was too nice to make any noise about it. haha. She got over it when the officer brought out fire hats and coloring books for everyone! Even J liked the hats!

T-BALL AGAIN
Crystal had her second game Saturday! I took lots of pictures this time so that I was sure to have it documented. It really did happen! Haha.

Finding their places in the outfield!

Crystal is on Second Base

Now she's Rover. And yes its the same inning... This team took FOREVER to bat. We only made it thru 2 innings and it still ran late.

Finally our turn and Crystal gets to bat first! Here she is on the practice tee.

Hitting (Yes she's standing behind the plate. We are working on it. Haha)
And she missed. I tried to get her to move up (Her coach was RIGHT there and wouldn't help her). She wouldn't move but hit it with the next swing anyway! Yay!

Running to first base!

On second!

Just after running home! She had the biggest smile on her face when she got to home plate. As boring as t-ball is to watch, that made it all worth it! :)

She was the last runner the next inning. HOME RUN! :D Haha.

This one handled not playing a lot better today than last week. Yay! I was worried we were going to have a problem the whole season.

I think Lily looks like Ty in this picture. She has A LOT of Gordon traits in her, and I don't know why, but this picture is all Ty. She's just adorable!

BOOK FESTIVAL
This week was National Book Week so the library had a book festival Saturday. Everyone got a free book so we stopped by after the tball game. Who passes up a free book right? They had a 'mouse maze' in one room. We just followed mice feet taped to the floor and tried to keep J from knocking down the props. Haha. Then we stood in line for a very long time (Ty stood in one line and I in the other or we would have been there even longer) so the girls could get their faces painted and a balloon 'animal'. They didn't actually get an animal. Crystal got a balloon flower and Lily got a crown. And I didn't take a picture of either of them! Gah! Oh well! While in line Lily the Mouse came in. Lily loved it, Crystal wasn't so impressed. Haha.

These are the closest pictures I got to face paintings. Lily got a dragon on her face and Crystal had a crown drawn on her forehead.

:)

RANDOM PICTURES OF THE WEEK

I went to dinner with a friend Monday night for family night. Afterwards we went to the University Mall for a bit to wear the kids out a little!

ARTWORK
These are a few of the girls projects lately. Its easier to take a picture and save it as a record than the actual piece of art. Haha.

Picture of My Mother's Day present from Ty and the kids! I love it!

J's head is all healed! Its looking REALLY good!

 TY'S HOME
For almost 5 years Ty has been working Asian hours which means he's been working a Sunday-Thursday afternoon shift. He's working a day shift starting tomorrow which means today I had him home for a normal Sunday afternoon!!! It was beyond nice to have him home with us! We even went for a Sunday afternoon walk!

Do you see what I see? Haha.
We walked by this tree trunk and Ty noticed snakes sitting in it. Yuck. Not a fan.

We decided to make ice cream later in the evening. We mixed everything up and went to turn on the ice cream maker and it wouldn't spin. We ended up hand turning it for 30 minutes (Ty did most of the work...)

It turned out perfectly!
