25 WAYS OVER 25 DAYS
We are ready for a month of service and learning of Christ! What a better way to spend the weeks before Christmas! Day one: Jesus lifted others burdens. We put together a box of food to give to the bishop for a family in need. Day two: Jesus Honored His Parents. We made Christmas cards for Grandparents! And Day 3: Jesus helped others to see. We made sure to complement others (and each other) to help them see things they might not see in themselves! Tomorrow, Day 4, Jesus Worshipped His Father. We will talk about the importance of prayer and make a goal to kneel to pray daily. We will also go to church! I was worried it would be hard to sit down with the kids every day to have a mini lesson and make a goal for the day but so far it has been fun! We'll see how the next 22 days go!!!
Soccer has begun. Crystal had her first game Friday! And she was on fire! She did such a great job and has improved so much since last year! They lost 0-7, but honestly the team played well for the most part! It was 0-0 until halfway through the game when the other team had a bit of a scoring streak. Haha. We just need a lot of practice at aiming for the goal!!!! Haha. Apparently the other team wasn't very nice though. Crystal kept saying after the game that they didn't deserve to win because they were saying mean things to her team after the game. She shrugged it off pretty well though. Can't wait till next week!!!
CHRISTMAS EXPO
We went to see Santa today. Last year they took the kids picture and emailed it to us free of charge. THis year there were signs up everywhere saying NO CELL PHONE PICTURES and $10 to have a picture emailed to you. REALLY???!?!?!! $10 just for an emailed picture! That's CRAZY!!!! I MIGHT have paid a few dollars for that... but not $10. No thanks. I wouldn't even pay that much for a team soccer picture PRINTED!!! Haha. So I took some pics of the kids while we were in line just so I could document that we in fact saw Santa this year! We also saw some of Santa's reindeer!!! I think Jay was the most excited this year! It was so much fun! All morning he kept saying, "Let's go see Santa! I wanna see Santa and his reindeer!" He sat right on his lap and talked with him like they were friends! Haha. They were all able to tell him what they wanted for Christmas this year, so we can check that off the list!!!!
CHRISTMAS MOVIE
Last night the girls spent the night at their cousins house and tonight their cousins came over to our house for Hot Chocolate, Popcorn and a Christmas movie! We had a good time! Have I ever mentioned how much I love Christmas?!?!?!?!
