THE WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS

PRESENTS
I decided with gifts this year to use a different tag for each kid without putting names on them. They don't know who's is who's and it's been great! Haha. I also put a little spin on it and told them I hid a matching tag with their name on it in the house... When they find the tag they'll know which ones are theirs. We may not open presents till January! ;-) Jay did poke a hole in a present about an hour after I put them under the tree. I came in the room and saw it and told him I was going to have to take it back to the store. He said, "Mom I didn't see what's in it! I didn't see!" I said, "Okay. Hey Jay. What's in the present?" "It's EVEREST MOM!!!!" Haha. Yeah I had to put it in a different box and rewrap it. After he opened it Christmas morning I assured him if he opened a present again I'd take it back to the store! Haha.

ROADTRIP
I went on an unexpected roadtrip just over a week before Christmas. It wasn't under the best of circumstances. My Uncle Randy passed away very suddenly and we all managed to get away to go to the funeral. We left our families at home and all piled in one vehicle for the trip. It was just like old times (except the part where I sat in the middle... still not sure how I lost that fight... that's totally the youngest's spot right?). The funeral was wonderful. I still can't believe he's gone. The world lost a good man. We were also able to celebrate my Grandma Christian's birthday with her while we were there. Then it snowed... and snowed... and the wind blew and blew. And we were stuck in Orangeville. We managed to get thru the canyon in the afternoon but it had snowed so much in Idaho that we didn't want to hit those roads in the dark so we stopped in Layton for the night. It took an extra day but we made it home!

MY SUPERHERO PRINCESS
Kensie loves the superhero costumes as much as Jay does! Haha. But she's still of course a princess!

LIBRARY
We went to see Santa at the library! There was a story and song and then Santa came out and talked to each kid and posed for a picture! We had to wait a while in line but the kids had so much fun! It was worth it!

WINTER HAS COME

WONDER WOMAN SOCKS
I got wonder woman socks as a white elephant gift at Ty's company party! They even have a cape! AWESOME!
