NEW TRUCK
We needed a vehicle for traveling and we really needed a truck for pulling trailers and loading our Lowes purchases. Haha. So we were looking for a truck with lower miles and we found it! We had saved for a long time for it, so we were able to pay cash. That was very scary! But if felt good to drive it off the lot without being in debt.
I apparently didn't get any pictures of Kensie but I got this moment with Millie and Livie. Oldest and youngest. So sweet!
MY BROTHER MAX
My brothers are always fighting over who's the favorite, but I think we all know the new favorite child is Max. Haha.
We got a pool! Ty didn't want it. And it took 2 months for me to figure out the filter/pump. He begrudgingly helped me set it up but wasn't losing any sleep over the fact that the pump just wasn't quite working right. Haha. By the time I got it figured out and he helped me set it up correctly, the pool was pretty gross. It even had some water bugs in it that we couldn't kill for anything. Haha. BUT it actually warmed up which I didn't expect. Haha. And it was well used all summer long. Ty destroyed the pool putting it away this fall (clearly I'm writing this blog a little later than the date shows). Our plan was to empty it, clean it and set it aside for winter, but emptying it was easier said than done. Then even though there was so much water in it that it was heavy enough that we couldn't move it, a gust of wind came up that hit it just right and flung it over on top of itself. It bent and destroyed some poles that we thought we could fix, but Ty tried putting it away by himself and ended up tearing a very large hole in it. The pump and filter are in great shape still though. I have already acquired a new pool for next summer. Haha. I was just going to get the same one because it was the least expensive option even though it was way bigger than I wanted, but I found a 15 ft one for $100 less so I snatched it up. 15 feet is what I wanted anyway. Still big and same depth, but not bigger than the trampoline at least. Haha.
Also I'm not sure if you noticed or if I mentioned it in another post, but the swing set toy is missing in the pic because in 2020 the wind blew are massive metal toy over and into the middle of the back of the yard. I was worried it was going to hit the back fence but it didn't. This Rigby wind is crazy! It broke a pole and Ty still hasn't ordered the new part. Maybe next summer the kids will have a swing set again. Maybe...
CRYSTAL GIRL'S CAMP
Crystal got to go to girls camp this summer! She didn't get to have it last year because of Covid so this was her first year! She had a lot of fun! Even though Aunt Flo decided to grace her with it's presence, she still had a good time. She also got to experience older girls trying to show her how to use a tampon. It went as well as it did when my friends tried to show me the same thing when I was at girls camp. Haha. Not well at all! But it was sweet that they tried to help.
ST GEORGE
Grandma and Grandpa Gordon rented a big house in St George and got us all tickets to see Little Mermaid at the Tuacahn! We had fun playing in the pool, found a dinosaur track museum, cooled off with snow cones, and going to the play! It was such a good weekend!
FAMILY IN TOWN
Cousins form Arizona came to town and then Ty's brother and sil from Arizona came into town too! We all sat down with them while Ty's parents opened their mission call! They are going to Chile! We played a lot of pickle ball on Ty's parent's court this week as well! I'll have more on this in July's post!
