Today was our first day of school. Crystal is in 7th grade. She loves hanging out with friends and playing soccer. She lives, eats and breaths soccer! The season has just started and she is loving it.
Lily is in 5th grade. She is an absolute social butterfly. There are about 10 girls in the neighborhood that are her age and they all get along pretty well! When I can get her out of her bed and off her tablet she will spend all day out and about. I actually couldn't find her the other day and had to get on the fb neighborhood page to ask everyone to let me know if they saw her. Haha.
Jay is in 3rd grade Spanish Immersion. We had a rough morning... he doesn't like being woken up for school in the morning. Haha. He tells me I'm ruining his life several times a week. His first day he said was hard, but he came home Thursday and Friday and told me he loved it and had so much fun. Then just tonight before bed he cried again telling me Spanish was hard and he didn't want to do it. The kid is more dramatic than both his sisters combined so that doesn't help, but I really have high hopes after meeting his teacher that he will thrive in Spanish this year. He has his struggles, but considering he didn't get into the program until right before COVID, he has come a LONG way in the last year.
Crystal had a Jamboree Saturday morning. They have 2 Rigby teams this season. She is on the older team but the younger team was one person short so she volunteered to play goalie. She did a pretty good job since she hasn't played goalie since AYSO a few years back. Her goalie kick and drop kick are rather impressive. She stopped A LOT of goals but still let a few thru. It was stressful to watch. lol. She played in 6 - 20 minute games and was EXHAUSTED by the end of the day
After Jay and Ty got home, we went to a wedding reception. It was fun. They had corn hole and other outdoor games set up. Jay ate 4 cookies and drank a lot of sorbet sprite and told me his stomach hurt... but that he was fine to still have Orange Leaf 30 minutes later. Lol. We did still go to Orange Leaf though. Crystal believed she had earned it with all her hard work earlier in the day. And Jay's stomach did seem to handle all the sugar just fine. Haha.
