Halloween and Fall Fun

RANDOM PICTURE TIME
I always remember how tiny they really are when they try wearing Ty and I's clothes! They may be growing fast, but they still have a ways to go!

Playing at Sportsman's while waiting for Daddy.
I thought he was adorable. He disagreed.

I can't believe my rose bush is still blossoming!

We made monster m's this week!

Last week was caterpillar c's

She was in heaven when Uncle Ryan's birthday present came! A tin 'purse' full of lip gloss! One of her favorite things!

J IS MOBILE. He's not quite crawling yet, but he is ROLLING all over the place! He's our first child who has used rolling as a mode of transportation. lol.

GETS A HOLD OF MY PHONE

SATURDAY OCTOBER 19
Last Saturday we made a trip to Cabela's. The kids and I looked at all the fun animals while Ty shot a few bows. While browsing, we happened upon craft time and they made pumpkins!

Stuffed horses creep me out... just saying.

Can't take pictures without the 'pose' coming out at least once. lol.

I was nursing J on a bench in the corner of Cabela's somewhere. I turned to look at the display behind me and I swear ALL the animals were staring right at me. lol. It was creepy.

I remembered after starting this that Lily can spend HOURS on art projects. I thought we might be there all day...

Yum

We wore them out!

 WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 23
We took the girls to Jaker's again! They had as much fun the second time as they did the first! After we got back, we decided to head to the park with some friends to play in the leaves! The kids had a blast! We came home, ate dinner, and cleaned out our pumpkins, so they'd be ready for Daddy to help carve them later on! Needless to say, I wore the girls out thuroughly and they crashed at bedtime! I wish I could make it happen more often!! lol!
JAKER'S

"Haunted" house.

Going down the slide

Back to the haunted house again... They went through it about 50 times. No really. 50 times at least.

The preview of this pic looks great, but when i open it it looks like this. So sad. My phone's camera is weird.

Yep it happened again...

Jumping together. These two sure are great friends!

CLEANING OUT PUMPKINS

 THURSDAY OCTOBER 24
The girls both had their yearly check ups today. They are BOTH in the 75th percentile in both weight and height! Growing girls!!! For Crystal this was considered her Kindergarten check-up, so she had to get 3 shots and a poke on her finger. She did pretty well. She handled the poke like a champ. When it came time for shots she cried before the nurse had even touched her! She cried more when the nurse rubbed the alcohol wipe on her legs (because she thought it was a needle). But the second it was over she was fine! I guess it wasn't as bad as she had anticipated!
After watching Crystal scream, I thought for sure Lily was going to lose it when we told her it was her turn (she just needed a flu shot). But she stood up from her chair and said, "I'll get a shot, I'm not afraid! I'll be brave!" The sweet girl DIDN'T EVEN CRY! She barely flinched, if at all! I was SO proud of her.
Even though it wasn't a check up for J, they went ahead and gave him the first half of his flu shot. He only cried for a second and it didn't seem to bother him as much as his last shots did thank goodness!
Then it was Ty an I's turn! Yep, I almost wish the pediatrician wouldn't offer to give them to parents too. lol. Then I'd have an excuse not to get one! I flinched more than Lily did! lol! Crystal and I are two peas in a pod. I hate shots! And if I wasn't the mom and HAD to be brave. I would have cried just like Crystal! lol!

Crystal got a wand for being brave for her Kindergarten check up! When we got home she told Ty he had to wave it around while she played the guitar and sang.

Daddy was too tired!

We were ALL worn out after shots. None of us felt well the rest of the day and Ty even stayed home from work. This flu shot did us all in! We were ALL feeling much better the next day!

 FRIDAY OCTOBER 25
We had visitors! Our friends who moved to Washington over a year ago came to visit for a few hours. We had fun catching up, and the girls LOVED having their friend back to play for a little while! The stay wasn't nearly long enough! I wish we'd had more time together!

1 am. Yep. J still likes 1 am. lol. He was pretty content cuddling with Daddy tonight though. They both eventually fell asleep like this.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 26
On Saturday Crystal had a primary program practice, and then we went trick or treating at the Macey's Grocery Store here in Provo. The kids had lots of fun! After that we headed over to Central Utah Gardens for a Pumpkin Walk. I think I succeeded in not getting a picture of a single pumpkin while we were there... oops. But the kids had fun playing the games and looking at the cool pumpkins!
This is how the chair was meant to be used right? Looks natural to me... lol. Waiting for Crystal to finish with practice!

MACEY'S TRICK OR TREAT

Can you tell he didn't want anything to do with the fruit face? lol.

Happy Lion!

PUMPKIN WALK
Spider Web Toss

Leaf Rake

(Look to the right. There's totally a pumpkin. Not a cool carved one, but I DID get a pic of a pumpkin! lol)
