Easter 2014

EASTER Weekend
The Friday before Easter we went to Macey's (a local grocery store) for an Easter Treasure Hunt with some friends. We searched for pictures of animals around the store and found candy awaiting us with every picture. Before we started our hunt the kids enjoyed making bunny ears and getting their faces painted (yes I did the ears backwards, I wasn't thinking. But they still look adorable!

Crystal has a loose tooth that we have been trying to get her to wiggle so her fingers are always in her mouth right now.

After our treasure hunt we headed straight for Idaho Falls! My parents were leaving for Twin Falls so I stopped at their house first just to say hello. J climbed to the top of the castle bed and I found him like this. It about gave me a heart attack!

After my parents left we headed to Ty's parents house for the weekend! Friday night we dyed Easter eggs and left them in the kids baskets for the Easter bunny to hide. Saturday morning the Easter bunny had hidden their eggs AND their baskets! They searched for their baskets first and found them full of candy! Lily had also gotten roller skates, Crystal had gotten a new bike seat and princess basket, and J had gotten a bag full of sandbox toys (good thing the owner of our complex decided to put in a sandbox so he's getting good use out of them now). We had to go to the house to finish putting up doors and varnishing them (Ty and his parents had installed them the night before). On the way home we stopped at Sam's Club to get gas for the car and went inside for a little snack before our afternoon barbecue. We didn't have J's sippy cup so he got an entire cup to himself! He thought that was pretty great! In fact when we got home he thought he should still have one and kept taking my soda. I didn't have it in me to stop him so he may or may not have ingested some Cherry Coke that day... The kids played with their skates (we brought crystal's with us) while we did some target shooting with our bows. That afternoon we had a wonderful barbcue with family and friends and an Easter egg hunt for the kids (I didn't get any pictures of it. I tried to get video but they were too fast for that too. I was taking video of empty yard)! We even enjoyed smores after our dinner! Everything was perfect!

Finding Easter Eggs!

Still looking!

Playing with stamps and notepad they got from Easter bunny

J LOVES Easter eggs!

This kid is into trouble as usual!

Yep J is wandering the house with some random person's shoe... oops.

He really liked breakfast Sunday morning! Crepes with nutella and strawberries/bananas! Yum!

On Easter Sunday, my parents were back in town, so after church we headed to their house to spend the evening. We had more Easter egg hunts. One out back and one in the basement with the lights out! The eggs glowed in the dark (they had tea lights in them). Grandma and Grandpa Gordon also had an Easter surprise for all of them. J just wanted to drag his around the house instead of open it. Haha. Papa cooled the hot tub off so the kids could get in the 'hot pool' for a little bit. They love playing in Papa's Pool! J got a hold of Crystal's swimsuit later on and tried wearing it like a cape. He was pretty proud of himself for getting it on all on his own. haha.

Who needs toys? All J needs is a cooler lid.

Using sister's swimsuit as a cape! Haha!

J's swimsuit didn't make it in the bag so all we had was his swim diaper. And yes its a hand me down so its pink. lol!

Peeps Games! How many can we stack?

Who can eat it first!?!

Playing with the Easter eggs (by now he knows there's good stuff inside them too. Haha)

RANDOM PICTURES OF THE WEEK

This was actually taken the week before. We planted our little garden. Now in the middle of May we have green onions, romaine lettuce, spinach, and peas coming up! Our tomato plant is barely alive because its been unnaturally cold here this spring, but it might survive still... maybe. Haha.

RIDING BIKES
I love that there are so many kids in the apartment complex. We are often outside on nice afternoons so the kids can play together!

Crystal is loving her bike with no training wheels! She is a pro at getting on and off of it now also!

ARCHERY RANGE AGAIN:
We went the the range again this week before Easter! This time I thought to get a pic of Ty shooting!
