SPLASH PAD

This week we went with some friends to play at the splash pad! The girls always have a good time when we go, but last year Jay never really enjoyed it. The water was always too cold for him and he doesn't like getting sprayed in the face. Haha. I put him in his swimsuit and brought a swim diaper just in case but I didn't expect him to want to play in it at all. I thought I was going to be chasing him around and keeping him out of trouble while the girls played in the water (something I wasn't looking forward to). To my shock and amazement, Jay went running straight for the water. He was pretty upset at first when he got sprayed in the face, but he kept going back! The sprayers on the outside didn't spray as hard or as much and he sat next to one and played in it for 20 minutes at a time. We played there for hours! They were all so entertained by the water, I never wanted to leave! lol.

Crystal wanted her hair 'curled on the sides,' so we pulled the curling iron out one day this week. She looked in the mirror afterwards and said, "Now I look just like Grandma Gordon!" She was pretty excited about it.

We saw deer on the road on our way home from the archery range this week.

Ty coached tball at this weekend's game because the actual coach was out of town. Only 3 kids showed up! All the dads had to play too. lol. One more showed up a little later, and we had an older brother from the other team play with us also. So we ended the game with 5 kids! They still had a good time! 

I don't know how this happened but Jay has learned to sword fight. He includes sound effects and everything! 

I spiked Jay's hair for church today. He was pretty adorable, but it made him look even more like a little boy. Where did my baby go?
