Lily had a friends My Little Pony themed birthday party the day before her birthday (dance interfered with doing it on her birthday). Rainbow Dash is her favorite pony so we went with a rainbow/pony theme. I made a rainbow/pony cake and had rainbow decorations. (She has too many friends...haha... and it was going to be rainy so I made her cut it down to just a few of them. I felt bad but since most of her friends are siblings they came in twos so we had to narrow it down to 5 or 6 invites. I think they all had a good time but I wish she could have invited everyone she wanted. Hazards of having a fall birthday and not a house big enough. Oy!)
We played "pin the cutie on the pony," decorated unicorn horns and each child got a rainbow pony tail! After blowing out candles and eating our rainbow treats, Lily opened presents. Then we ate pink popcorn while watch a birthday party My Little Pony Episode. Later that night we had a family get together to eat that rainbow cake and have ice cream! Lily loved loved loved all the attention. Haha. She was pretty spoiled as well with new clothes and toys.
On her birthday, we still tried to make it a special day for her. We saved our present to her for that night so she would have something to open. When her dad got home we went out to her place of choice! Which ended up being Perkins because Tuesdays are face painting nights!!! Haha. When we got home she opened her Pony Surprise. I have to admit I bought this for myself. lol. I had a Puppy Surprise as a child and it was one of my favorite toys. When I saw the different kinds in the store I really really wanted one. Haha. So I bought one for her! And guess what?!?!?!? She loved it! And guess what else?!?!?!?!? She got 5 ponies! 5!!!!! Lucky little girl. I only had 3 in mine when I was a kid. Haha. It's been a week and she's still in love with it so I guess we did well.
Before I get to the pictures I just want to say I love this little girl with all my heart. She is feisty and frustrating and is going to cause her mother many sleepless nights in the future I'm sure, but she is also my most cuddly child. She is always the first to compliment everyone! Even strangers! She will tell our waitress how pretty she is, the person in the store how much she loves her eyes, and anyone else she sees. If there is a complement to be had, she shares it!!!! I love and envy her fearlessness though I'm afraid it's going to get her in trouble one of these days. Good news is we made it one more year with no more broken bones!!! Wahoo!!!!
