The zoo, conference and lots of Reed's Dairy

FAMILY NIGHT TREAT
Lily and Crystal had free Reed's Dairy Ice Cream coupons for their birthdays, so we went to Reed's Dairy for family night Monday!! We all love ice cream!

OCTOBER
The kids and I put together some fun little foam pumpkins to help us decorate for Halloween! I still haven't managed to get the rest of the decorations out but maybe before the month is over ;-)

REED'S DAIRY FIELD TRIP
Two trips to Reed's Dairy in one week!!! We had our first preschool field trip this week!!! We went to see some farm animals at Reed's Dairy and also went inside for some ice cream!! YUM!
While looking at the animals in the petting area, Jay came around a corner holding a chicken!!! Haha. This chicken was a lot more docile than our chickens at home, and Jay liked it! lol. Lily got to come with us and she was in seventh heaven! She absolutely LOVES animals!

LAST DAY AT THE ZOO
We didn't spend nearly enough time at the zoo this summer. We were running around so much that I feel like we didn't have as much time for our weekly zoo trips! The zoo was closing for the season so we decided to go one last time! We saw the white peacock right by the entrance. We actually saw 3 peacocks today. I think its the kids favorite part! Haha. We played in the children's zoo for a while. And a goat in the petting area bit Crystal while trying to eat her shirt. The goat Lily was petting was headbutted by a goat 3 times its size and Lily was VERY concerned for it. Haha. I've never seen so much violence in the goat area before. That's about when we decided it was time to leave!

CONFERENCE WEEKEND
We had breakfast and watched conference with my family this morning. As we are getting breakfast ready my brother says, "Uh Laura your son found something..." I look out the french door window and see Jay standing there with the BIGGEST grin on his face and holding a cat!!! Haha. Just standing there! Haha. I'm glad it was at least a nice and well groomed cat. Haha. Needless to say watching conference with 6 kids is not an easy task. But considering what we were up against, I think things went pretty well! For afternoon session we went to Ty's parents. The kids played conference bingo. Jay managed to get a black out in the first 30 seconds of the first talk. Haha. Then he was free to eat the game pieces. Haha.
