Family Fun!

GATOR JACK'S
We love the Gator Jack's in Rigby so we were pretty excited when we found out they were opening one in Idaho Falls! We had to try it out as soon as it opened! The kids all LOVE the Gator Bites! (And don't you love Lily's outfit? Yes that's a belt around her head. Oy. I don't know what I'm going to do with that girl.)

MOVIE NIGHT
We sat down as a family and watched Box Trolls and ate pink popcorn! We went to a movie this summer and the Box Trolls trailer came on during the previews. Jay, who at the time found NO interest in movies/tv/any screen in general, watched the trailer, squealing and laughing the whole time. Ty was so surprised by his reaction that he wanted Jay to see the whole movie. I wasn't so sure it was going to be okay for the kids, so we waited for it to come out at Redbox instead of going to the theater. They all loved it! Jay even sat through the entire movie! Love our movie nights!!!!

 LAUNDRY HELPERS
I am beyond excited that the kids can help with the laundry now. Crystal can actually run the washer and dryer on her own now, and Lily usually goes down to help her. Even Jay is getting pretty good at moving clothes from the washer to the dryer and from the pile to the washer. Love my little helpers!

DRESS UP
Even when I have their dress up bin put away, these girls still seem to find stuff to dress up in! Haha!

REED'S DAIRY
Reed's had their grand opening of their new store in Idaho Falls this week. They had half off all sundaes, and it came with a free insulated bowl! We even bought Jay one, so he wouldn't feel left out when he's older. Now he'll have a special ice cream bowl at home too. Haha. We do love our ice cream in this house! :D (Random Note: See how the bowls are blue? They were blue in the store I swear. And when we got home they were suddenly purple... seriously so weird. haha.)

JAY
Jay is a little high maintenance in the mornings sometimes. On this particular day he insisted on being covered with THAT blanket with his pop tart and milk AND Scout and his baby doll. They ALL had to be on his lap. And not to mention 'Go Go' (his way of saying Bo on the Go) had to be on the TV. (I really wish they had made more than just one season of Bo on the Go. I have seen the same 16 episodes a hundred times. haha)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Ty turned 31 today! This was the Tres Leches Cake I made for him. It tasted pretty good! And it's the only picture I took on his birthday! Gah! I hope he had a good day. He started it off with bacon and eggs for breakfast. 2 hours of stake conference. Jay was already trying to climb into the aisle before it even started so it was a VERY LONG 2 hours! He opened his presents: 2 new Wii games that he can play with the kids (as requested), a new button up shirt, and a case for his gun. Then we headed to dinner with the LaPray's where Ty kindly shared his birthday cake! When we got home we had time to play Wii games with the kids for an hour or so before bedtime! Now he's sitting on the computer engaging in his favorite activity: Online video games. I hope he's enjoying it because tomorrow I'll probably go back to getting frustrated with him and his video game habit! Haha!!!! (We are celebrating his birthday again tomorrow with his parents so hopefully I'll get more pictures then!)

  1. GATOR JACKS!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about that place. Ben and I use to eat there all the time when we lived in Rexburg. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that place. I think I need to make a trip up your way just to get me some Gator Jacks!!
