Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Ryan and Max took my kids on a train ride on Durango's real steam train from Durango to Silverton. They were in heaven! The rest of us drove to Silverton, making a few stops along the way, so that we could all spend a day at Silverton, an old gold mining town.
The kids were pretty dirty from the coal steam by the time they got to Silverton but it wasn't too bad and they had had a great time! They only got bored on the trip a few times. Haha. Once we were all in Silverton we walked around town and found a fun Saloon to eat lunch at. Then we managed to make it to the gold mine in time to get into the next tour! We spent a good amount of time panning for gold afterwards too! We stopped on the way back at a little waterfall just because we could and spent the evening in downtown Durango! (Remember once again my pictures go from the end of the day to the beginning).
