Crystal's 5th birthday!

Since Crystal's birthday is on Talk Like A Pirate Day, we dressed like pirates and went to Krispy Kreme for a free dozen doughnuts (actually 4 dozen since there were 4 of us dressed up. Oh dear yes we had 4 dozen doughnuts in our house... and a cake. Yikes!)

 We realized afterward that Ty's costume would have been complete had we thought to dress J in a parrot costume! Darn! Too late! lol.

Crystal was very concerned when all her friends (who went to Krispy Kreme with us) didn't stick around to see her open her presents. We had to remind her several times that her party was the next day and not today! Poor thing. She was in tears because she thought they all left before her party even started!

It wasn't as easy as she thought!

We decided maybe we'd practice on the carpet first. lol. She hasn't put them on since her birthday and its been almost a month. 

After we got her out of her skates, Crystal wanted to go to the pool. We played at the pool with a friend for a few hours. They had a blast! Crystal LOVES going down the water slides! But I didn't take pictures. Its hard to take pictures when you are surrounded by water. lol. After the pool, we were all hungry and Crystal wanted Chuck-A-Rama for her birthday dinner. Its right up there with McDonald's on her list of favorites! She LOVES getting mac-n-cheese and a 'smoothie' as she calls it. She really likes their slushy machine! After dinner, she wanted to go to Dollar Tree to spend the money GiGi and Grandpa Great sent her. She bought a recorder, tiara, wand, a dolphin, and one more toy I can't remember right now. She was in heaven!

HOW is it that this little girl is 5 already?!?!?!? I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She keeps telling me that after Christmas it will be her birthday again and she will be 6, and then 7, and then 8...!!! I keep telling her to stop growing up so fast and enjoy being 5!!! lol! (I still don't have pics of the Pirate Party. I'll post as soon as I get them!)
